A Central Oregon Architect

Have we met? I'm Mitch Darby, an architect living and working in beautiful central Oregon. I spent the first twenty years of my architectural career working as an employee in other architectural firms and was involved in the design of a variety of very rewarding projects.

My history in brief is that I was born in Portland and raised in Gresham, Oregon. I graduated from the University of Oregon with a 5-year Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Architecture in 1994 and immediately found work at a large architectural firm in Portland. In late 1999, I sat for and passed the architectural licensing exams - officially becoming a registered architect in the State of Oregon in January 2000. In 2002, I relocated from Portland to central Oregon and have been here ever since.

In addition to being a registered architect, in early 2016 I became a licensed real estate broker as well and am associated with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Northwest Real Estate. While I am not a licensed home inspector or appraiser, I can certainly help you buy or sell a home. Additionally, as your broker, I can also answer architecturally-related questions for you.

I maintain a record with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and can apply for architectural registration in other states as required. You can view my resume & connect with me at linkedin, see what inspires me on my pinterest page, and follow me on facebook and/or twitter.

Beyond architecture, I enjoy photography, music, cinema, travel, and ... volcanoes!
